Each day our two boys harvest the eggs from our Rhode Island Reds and Buff Orpingtons, clean them, and prepare them for the process they call making space food, aka freeze-drying. Our chickens are important to our family, so you know you are getting the same eggs that we eat.

We package them in resealable bags with an oversized oxygen absorber to preserve their freshness and keep a long shelf life if they remained sealed. IMPORTANT: DO NOT EAT THE OXYGEN ABSORBER. Once opened we see 4-6 months is the typical shelf-life resealing as you go. Like all freeze-dried food, we have tried so far, try to store in a manner that prevents severe temperature changes or is too hot. Many freeze-dried foods can store for 10+ years.

Don’t be afraid to take it with you for your camping & hiking. They make easy scrambled eggs on the go. Great for additional protein in shakes. Add them to your emergency supply to ensure you have a good protein source.

To use mix in a 1:1 ratio. For every tablespoon of the egg mix and 1 tablespoon of water. Once fully mixed, cook as you normally would. Medium Egg ~1 tablespoon egg powder and Large Egg is ~2 tablespoon egg powder. Mix to the consistency you prefer.

We also use them in day-to-day kitchen recipes especially baking.

One last detail, many people buy for the short term. IF you are buying for long-term storage we sell the larger count in mylar bags. Mylar is recommended for long-term storage and it's how we put our preps back with hopes if we need them in +10 years they are as fresh as the day we bagged them.
